How Snappy works

Three steps. One winner. All from real games happening right now.

Snappy is a fantasy sports app built around a simple idea: pick real players from live games and go head-to-head against one other person. No season-long leagues. No massive DFS pools. Just you, an opponent, and a live game.

Every match follows the same three steps.

Hit Battle. Get matched.

When you're ready to play, hit the Battle button. Snappy pairs you with another player at your ELO rating. You're always playing someone at your level — not a random from the internet.

If nobody is available within 90 seconds, you'll be matched against a bot that plays at your skill level. You still earn rating, though at a reduced rate.

Draft your roster.

Once matched, you enter a snake draft. You and your opponent take turns picking 3 real players from today's live games. You have 20 seconds per pick.

You can filter players by game and position. Pick based on matchups, recent form, or gut instinct. The players you draft will score fantasy points based on what they actually do in the real game.

Watch it play out live.

Once the draft is done, your match is live. Fantasy points roll in with every pitch, every play, every stat line update. You can watch the score shift in real time as your players perform.

When the game ends, the player with the higher total fantasy score wins the match — and earns ELO rating.

The rating system

Snappy uses a Glicko-2 rating system (similar to ELO) to rank all players. You start with 6 placement games that determine your initial division. After that, every win and loss adjusts your rating.

The higher your division, the tougher your opponents. Your rank is earned through wins, not purchased.
